 HRH Igwe Gbuye
HRH Igwe J.N. Gbuye and the Council of Chiefs of Ugwuoba Kingdom in Enugu State have decided to bestow Chieftaincy Titles to some of our worthy Igbo sons and daughters. These are individuals who have done pioneering work to draw the attention of Ndigbo to the declining usage of Igbo language and what must be done to stop such decline.  It is pertinent to note that UNESCO, an Agency of the United Nations, has predicted that Igbo language may be lost because Igbos no longer prefer using Igbo as their primary language of daily communications. Consequently, these Igbo sons have sworn not to allow the Igbo Language and culture to be relegated to the background. Therefore, all efforts must be directed towards making sure that our beloved Igbo language is passed on from one generation of Igbos to another.
