Dem. Governors Moving Too Slow with Reopening to Hurt Me-Trump

The President of the United States, Donald Trump has tweeted that Democrats are moving too slow with re-opening their economies from coronavirus lockdown for political reasons aimed with the aim to hurt him in the Presidential elections coming up next November. The president did not provide any evidence to support his hypothesis nonetheless.

Trump said, “The great people of Pennsylvania want their freedom now, and they are fully aware of what that entails. The Democrats are moving slowly, all over the USA, for political purposes. They would wait until November 3rd if it were up to them. Don’t play politics. Be safe, move quickly!” (Source Reuters News).

Democratic governors say such an unfounded claim by the president illustrates that the President is more interested in the November election and disregards, the health, and safety of the American citizens in the first place.

Coronavirus has impacted many Democratic states more than Republican states. States like New York, California, Illinois,  New Jersey, and Connecticut who are considered Blue states have more coronavirus cases compared to the Republican Red states like Montana, Tennessee, South Carolina, Wyoming, and Alabama

Over 1.3 million Americans have been infected with Coronavirus to date with over 80,000 deaths, most of the infections are in the Democratic-led States, whose Governors are seeking a measured and coordinated steps to open their states rather than the Trump mandated rush. The Coronavirus disease has reached the White House where staffers and aides to the President and Vice President have been diagnosed with Coronavirus even as the race to open all the states without adequate preventive measures rages on.
